Alberto B The film is not a masterpiece in terms of direction, editing, or character depth. But it certainly doesn't deserve such a low score. Because it's not just a well-constructed and well-acted divertissement that plays with the trope of being shipwrecked on a desert island, but it has many meanings. Like in Wertmuller's "Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August," or like in "Lord of the Flies," extreme conditions lay bare true human nature. Social rules, conventions, power relationships between classes no longer matter in this new state of nature: whoever manages to procure the most food wins, only this way can one win over the woman. Apart from the erotic element well orchestrated by the very talented cast. Kelly Brook's erotic charge is enhanced by the wild location, the erotic element merges with the struggle for survival, eros mingles with thanatos. For me, an underrated film. Kelly Brooks is stunning (that body!) and keeps the movie going forward without ever getting dull. Billy Zane’s performance is dramatic and was enjoyable to watch him slowly go crazy. Overall really enjoyed the flow, sexual tension, strange and unexpected script at times that actually worked. The ending could be better though. They all tend to be poor characters with poor judgments and I would have preferred if no one survived and they could have killed each other off. Ono što mi se ne sviđa kod filma je to što se svi likovi trude da budu loši jedni prema drugima , dajem primer Jennifer iako ima muža ona se trudi da zavede Manuela pred Dzekom. Priznajem Manuel je slušao Jennifer i Dzeka dok imaju sex što nije bilo prijatno, ali ajde da zanemarimo to već da se usredsredimo na zavođenje Jennifer pred Dzekom i kasnije na silovanje. Jack se takođe nije pokazao kao dobar lik zbog prevelike ljubomore i pokušaja ubistva Manuela dok je bio ranjen i bolestan što mi se čini malo pokvarenim i kukavički. La sopravvivenza diventa quasi un gioco di ruoli in cui due uomini girano attorno ad una donna che resta al centro della "trama". Pochissimo da salvare, giusto l'originalità della location per un intrigo amoroso, e la capacità comunque di tenere un finale abbastanza nascosto ed imprevedibile. Tutto il resto fa male agli occhi.
