      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Table 19 is marginally more entertaining than actually sitting with a table full of strangers at a wedding -- although most screenings won't come with an open bar, which makes it a wash.

Bozhena V Funny, profound, sentimental and nostalgic comedy about us - people who love, get disappointed, make mistakes and forgive each other every day!I watched it in spite of low rating and did not regret! Highly recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/23 Full Review Noah D This is a great movie with a great concept! There are certain aspects to the movie that I love, such as the way Anna Kendrick's character explains who is at each table in a quick and precise manner. The question everybody asks at weddings, who are the people at the final table? It's one of those movies that you can really only make one of with the idea and concept, but some films are like they and just a casual movie to enjoy! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Ola Nothing really happens throughout the whole film. It didn't keep me interested to finish it, so I had it play in the background while I was doing other things. It was hard to watch as its overly sappy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/30/22 Full Review Millie S Watching this ruined my day. Its one of those movies where you think the payoff will surely be worth the misery you've sat through. It is not. All the characters are unlikable but also boring, no plot point ever gets addressed enough to be worthwhile and a whole subplot is dedicated to a young man sexually harassing women. Of course neither the film nor the characters view this as harassment, but just "nerd is judged by shallow women for not being smooth". Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review isla s This is a mildly amusing, entertaining rom com (more 'com' than 'rom' though - mild 'com') of a film. I liked that the titular table was full of somewhat socially awkward people, for one reason or another and I could relate to one or two of them. I liked Stephen Merchants character, Walter Thimble (and what a name that is, eh? I had to look it up on IMDB(!)), who seems to improvise his answers to personal questions when put on the spot. It was also nice to see Lisa Kudrow (aka Phoebe from Friends) in another film - I've seen her in one or two but not many over the years. Plus there's the bossy older person - yes its a bit cheesy and cliche perhaps but I didn't think it was too bad. Overall, this is a pretty alright, inoffensive film - you could do better than this, you could do worse. Its likely to make you titter but I wouldn't say you'll get big belly laughs from it. I'm not sure its especially worth seeing but its not got nothing going for it either, so its up to yourself whether you see it or not. Its maybe one to see if it comes on TV, I suppose. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Lame. Disjointed. No clear storyline. Don't be deceived by the good casting. Donald Clarke Irish Times Kendrick is such a whirl of energy that she makes even this underwritten role sparkle. Rated: 3/5 Apr 26, 2017 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian This is the human message of this amusing film: everyone's life gets messy at times. It's important to cut others some slack, even when it's not deserved. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 21, 2017 Full Review Chris Hewitt (UK) Empire Magazine Overcoming a shaky start, this low-budget rom-dram rewards patience, with a fine cast delivering strong work. Accept the invitation. Rated: 4/5 Apr 10, 2017 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …Table 19, for all its flaws, goes down easily enough as an amuse-bouche when a heavy meal seems like too much hassle… Rated: 3/5 Sep 24, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It all lacks spontaneity and feeling, rushing toward its conclusion without savoring a single moment.
