Critics Consensus

Table 19 is marginally more entertaining than actually sitting with a table full of strangers at a wedding -- although most screenings won't come with an open bar, which makes it a wash.

This is the human message of this amusing film: everyone's life gets messy at times. It's important to cut others some slack, even when it's not deserved. Go to Full Review

Overcoming a shaky start, this low-budget rom-dram rewards patience, with a fine cast delivering strong work. Accept the invitation. Go to Full Review

Keith B B 11h I enjoyed it and laughed quite a few times. Anna Kendrick was excellent as usual. Give it a look look for a fun time. See more Johnny L @Smithanjones 18h I don’t always disagree with the crowd on RT - but when I do I remember why I feel different in this world. And that is probably why I like the movie too - it is ultimately about being different, being true to yourself, and breaking away from where society wants to push you. We watched this on a whim - Saw Anna Kendrick goes to a wedding and thought this could be fun. And it was! No, it is not a serious movie but it is laugh out loud hilarious! We haven’t laughed so hard since Hot Tub Time Machine. Maybe that’s because Craig Robinson is also in this - but it’s not just him. The whole cast is a riot with Lisa Kudrow and Stephen Merchant (the tall dorky guy) is a bonafide genius at comedy. And the old lady steal’s the show. This movie will be a cult film if it isn’t already for anyone honest enough to know they could be seated at Table 19 (if they ever wanted to go to a wedding). See more alan G. @agenser Oct 29 Waste of Anna Kendrick she should fire her agent. Anything with Robinson in it is bad. See more Jess H Oct 18 I recognize that I am like one of five people to love this film, but I really love it. I’ve watched it numerous times and will absolutely watch it again in the future. I find it absolutely charming! See more Jason H Sep 15 A promising cast but a truly awful movie. Not a single laugh from start to finish! Even Stephen Merchant couldn’t get close to saving this turkey. Truly dreadful. See more Drew H Mar 6 Table 19 stands in a unique way that charms its way thru its telling, stays real and honest in its story with just enough drama and comedy to make you care about the characters in this off-beat rom-com. I am not sure I would declare it a rom-com, but it certainly has the meat and potatoes of what makes one. The hodge-podge cast might throw you off at first, but myself was very intrigued in the actors involved in this. Starting with Anna Kendrick and Lisa Kudrow, thru the brilliance that is June Squibb, and ending with the upcomer Wyatt Russell. I was startled that I hadn't seen this sooner, considering it was released in 2017. But I always gravitate towards a good cast and everyone that is a guest at Table 19 of this fictional wedding certainly delivers. The characters grow on each other as well as me as a viewer, leading to a bond that's balanced just enough to keep you entertained and intrigued to the very end. I definitely say give this one a try, I think all movie watcher tastes would not be disappointed here. With plenty of character sophistication to make it complex its still an easy and fun watch. Having recently seen Your Cordially Invited...Table 19 is exactly what I had expected Your Cordially Invited to be. (Your Cordially Invited did not stick the landing in any fashion, lol).
