Kuro Fun stuff overall. The story wasn't ground breaking, yet even though it was a bit simple and cliché it was still enjoyable. Certainly a decent entry in the Slime Reincarnation franchise, especially when more cleverly, the writers used the movie to foreshadow coming characters of future mainline story events, or I assume that's what they did. I haven't read the manga or light novels, but from how they utilized certain characters it would seem that bigger things will be coming soon! Anyway, it's a decent watch, with great acting and it had me looking forward to the new season coming up! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/06/23 Full Review Carlos Definitely a good and enjoyable movie. I won't give it 5 stars because it has a slow start but other than that it's pretty well put together. enjoyed it for the most part Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Google Absolutely loved the movie, and was happily but unexpectedly a lot longer than I though it would be. Most anime movies are 70-80 something minutes long, but this was just short of 2 hours!! Meaning a lot of detail went into the story and not rushing the movie along or assuming you know the story from the light novels and thus skip over a lot of major plot points like so many anime movies do. Also, even though not canon story, it did add a nice story to go along with main story and it want out of place at all or didnt do anything to disrupt main story. If anything, Im excited to see if the FUSE sensei will decide to incorporate the so-called not canon story into the actual story come season 3 of the anime. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Andre' L I wish tempest wasn't in most of the fight scenes. With the power scaling, the fights felt lackluster Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Danny Was a good movie, the fights could have been better. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Stealthmomo Although it felt more like three OVA's strung together than a movie event, the animation was top notch with a wonderfully choreographed battle scene to open the proceedings. Seeing it on the big screen made it an event. I was fortunate to see the subbed version and I hope that always remains an option, as I detest dubs with a fiery passion. Michael Ordoña Los Angeles Times The movie isn’t unusual-looking or surprising, but my daughter assures me fans of the show will not want to miss it. Jan 19, 2023 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle Scarlet Bond collapses into the hourlong, supposedly epic but ultimately low-stakes multifront battle de rigueur in too much anime right now. Rated: 2/5 Jan 19, 2023 Full Review Simon Abrams TheWrap Mainly feels underwhelming because its creators don’t seem to know how to translate their show’s ever-mutating high-concept appeal into a feature-length movie. Jan 19, 2023 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The visuals can be engaging, but the story is too jumbled and told in a trite manner. Most of the characters are also forgettable, unless a viewer is already a fan of the anime TV series and manga series. Apr 29, 2023 Full Review Gustavo Pineda Cine Premiere An optional side-quest that can make the wait for fans until the third season more enjoyable. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Charles Solomon FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) If you're a fan then you'll have fun, but I don't think this will recruit many new viewers into the series.
