Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Unlike the brilliant (and similar) Arsenic and Old Lace, the material here is very hit-and-miss, but Peter Lorre is hilarious. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 13, 2023 Full Review Ken Hanke Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC) The joys of the film -- and there are some -- come almost entirely from the interplay of Karloff and Lorre. Audience Member Fun watch Karloff, Peter Lorre have fun time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Boris is at it again, messing with the UNKNOWN in his most charming persona--Karloff and Lorre are a delight... Arsenic and Supermen!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Considering the cast, this should be pretty damn good. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a mediocre effort whether you're a fan of horror or comedy. This film tries to pull off both and ends up being one of the most average films Karloff or Lorre ever appeared in. This is coming from a Karloff fanatic! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The Boogie Man Will Get You is a lot of fun for old movie buffs. Boris Karloff & Peter Lorre are a joy to watch & even though there are times when the rest of the movie sometimes feels like a stage play that has just been put to film they make it more then worth tuning in for. Lorre even has his own side kick w/ a kitten in his pocket that he plays beautifully off of. For those who are looking for actual old school chills & a horror element you've come to the wrong show. This is 100% comedy w/ a death overtone that doesn't take itself seriously but doesn't come off goofy in the process. Just a fuck of a good time from an era long gone Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A slightly daft comedy farce set in an big old house populated by the likes of Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre, who are both excellent. Boris has the cellar kitted out like Frankenstein's laboratory which looks great. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A goofy screwball farce. It's not that funny, but it's amusing and Boris Karloff is fun in it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
