Gambler and gunman Bat Masterson (Joel McCrea) rides into Dodge City, Kan., to visit his straight-arrow brother, Ed (Harry Lauter), who is hoping to defeat crooked sheriff Jim Regan (Don Haggerty) in an upcoming election. Bat purchases and renovates a rundown saloon, attracting the notice of Regan's henchmen. A shooting during the saloon's opening-night celebration causes Bat to pursue his own political vendetta against Regan and attempt to clean up the town's corruption once and for all.

See more 01/04/2017 A below average Western. See more 01/25/2015 So-so western about Joel McCrea as Bat Masterson, bringing justice to the titular city. It's all pretty routine, but it's reasonably entertaining and McCrea delivers one of his solid performances.
