In this musical, Princess Helena (Frieda Inescort) is slated to marry her cousin Emperor Franz Josef (Franchot Tone) even though she's in love with another man. Her sister Princess Elizabeth (Grace Moore) decides to follow her to Vienna in an attempt to sabotage the wedding, traveling incognito as a dressmaker. Unexpectedly, Princess Elizabeth and the Emperor fall in love. If Elizabeth's father intercedes and stands up to his obstinate wife, order may finally be restored to the royal family.
