      Audience Member Truly something special. Especially if you appreciate the genre and the culture of the films. It obviously draws inspirations from its predecessors but doesn't look to be a replica. Definitely worth a watch if you can sit through its entirety. The movie was over 4 hours long and I honestly could have kept watching. I can't imagine the kind of impact this little-known movie could have made if a little more money was thrown at it. The Last Don was alot better than i expected it to be, Clocking in at over 4 hours [I believe this was made for TV and shown in 4 parts] it is a highly entertaining ride with strong acting and an excellent plot. I would love to have seen a full length feature of this created in the late 70's/80's as the story is just as good as The Godfather and if this was made by you're Scorsese's or your Coppola it would be an all time classic. Nonetheless I recommend this to any fans of the gangster genre. I do believe this now out of print but can be found on ebay and online if you look hard enough.
