Audience Member Dorian Tan Tao-liang's last movie with Lee Tso-Nam, this is a kicking showcase that interestingly combines high and low leg styles with some ground combat. Not something seen often before, or for some time after this as the ninja craze took over to a great extent. Unfortunately for many tastes, there is also quite a bit of then-trendy slapstick, mostly in the form of Chin Lung mugging for the camera opposite Ho Kwong-li. She's an amazing kicker, but he's doing his best Jackie Chan circa Drunken Master impression. Unfortunately, neither he nor any of the other fighters truly adopt JC's broken fight rhythm. However their opening display is amazing and the final duel with Peng Kong pays off. Tai Seng's awful full frame dvd is most commonly available, but there is an old Ocean Shores widescreen copy in circulation - also dubbed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
