One of the key messages of this film...is that dignity is not something abstract. For the people of Torre Baro...it is water, electricity, a roof over their heads, paved roads and, in this case, a bus. Go to Full Review

But perhaps what is most powerful about this film is the glimmer of hope it leaves behind, not an unrealistic and watered-down version of it...but one that you hold on to even when it seems like nothing can get worse. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

See more gardenamateur M @RT91338247 Nov 30 Great 'small' movie full of big themes about the basics of life: a roof over our heads, water, electricity ... and a bus service. I loved how the director blended in historical footage from the era with the rest of the story – it added another layer of authenticity to the storytelling. See more Andrei S @Rumanking Nov 20 The movie itself it's not bad, the actuations are good, and the photography it is very well done, but it seemed to be a bit boring. I totally understand the meaning of the film, that's why this movie is not for everyone. But I think it's alright to see it at least once. (ENGLISH) El 47 brings to life a little-known yet essential chapter of Spanish history, narrating the peaceful rebellion of a working-class neighborhood in the late 1970s. Marcel Barrena directs with a sense of clarity and emotional honesty, allowing the story to unfold without unnecessary embellishments. Eduard Fernández delivers a phenomenal performance, embodying the spirit of an everyday hero with naturalness and conviction. His portrayal feels authentic and deeply rooted in the community he represents, making his character's struggle both relatable and inspiring. The film's setting and period reconstruction effectively transport the audience to the post-Franco transition, although some aspects of the historical context could have been explored in more depth. While El 47 may not surprise with its structure, it compensates with sincerity and heart, offering a powerful reminder of the importance of collective action. The film stands out as a testament to resilience, a piece of cinema that values the people behind historical change as much as the events themselves.
