Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to "find the accountant," Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

There’s a lot of unexpected humour in a movie about an accountant-vigilante with high-functioning autism trying to track down a murderer. In fact, the brothers’ straight man and wild guy banter adds a buddy movie vibe to the action thriller.

This feels like fanfic about found family with the two brothers and the detective. The villain is laughable and the main characters are different from the original. Also there was no accounting done to figure anything out. The kid hackers were overpowered and it ruined the story for me.

I definitely liked the 1st Accountant better. I give the 1st movie 4 stars. This one 3 stars. Just so so. I don’t like Ben in this one. He was a miss for me. Just my 2¢.
