Kristen Lopez Culturess The Accountant is messier than its multitude of gunshot wounds to the head. Nov 20, 2017 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian Unfortunately this one runs out of steam and becomes more of a shoot now, ask questions later (or never) flick. May 1, 2025 Full Review Jesse Hassenger Decider The Accountant is a ridiculous movie with at least one subplot too many and a genuine murkiness about why, after all this, Christian Wolff wants to launder money for a living. Seth M Really loved it. Should be a franchise Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/23/21 Full Review Tero H Very good and exiting movie. Love it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/25 Full Review Brayden G Loved the action sequences and Ben Affleck does so well as a character with autism his acting in this movie is amazing Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/30/25 Full Review Brenden D BY FAR ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTION MOVIES OF ALL TIMES!! This is more than just an action movie, it's a character story about bonds, choices, family, and so much more. I wasn't the biggest Ben Affleck fan when I saw this, and this film ABSOLUTELY Won Me Over To Him. He plays the role of an dangerous awkward brilliant autistic Accountant/Money Launderer BRILLIANTLY! The rest of the cast SHINES TO PERFECTION: Jon Bernthal is frightening & loveable all at the same time. Anna Kendrick is endearing and brings so much heart to the film. J.K. Simmons brings so much experience, nuance, and gravitas. In many ways, we are following the story through his eyes almost as much as Ben Affleck's Christian Wolff's eyes. Cynthia Addai-Robinson has a great backstory and wathcing her character evolve all the way to the end is so interesting. John Lithgow is fantastic as always as the quirky charming antagonist. The action is great, the backstory of Chiristian Wolff is so interesting to follow and you realize just how significant it is as you enter the final act of the film. The dry humor & one-liners are fantastic, and the two big surprise twists at the end BLEW MY MIND and just warmed my heart. I can watch this film a thousand times over and over again and it never gets old. I also appreciate that the relationship between Wolff & Dana isn't a romantic one, he just cares VERY DEEPLY for this person who he connected with and showed him kindness. The efficiency and brutality in WOlff's kills is also a total treat. A+ 9.5/10 EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE!!! YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/30/25 Full Review Tim H A pleasant surprise of an action thriller, The Accountant seems to be the fulfilling of Ben Affleck's era of being Batman as the main character parallels many action antics that tease an alternate passion of the former caped crusader. While not a home run, the story gets generically bland when it strays from the main leads. With a compelling cast chemistry, The Accountant will scratch the itch of satisfying action and intense familial drama that is worthy of a sequel. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/25 Full Review Andrew B Love this movie. Not quite as good as the sequel but still amazing! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
