Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a mathematics savant with more affinity for numbers than people. I appreciate that this is a character first story. The conflict is very typical for an action movie. The thing that makes it stand out is the "Accountant" character. He is diagnosed with high functioning autism. He has an obsessive need to finish things. I could understand people being offended by the way the movie shows autism as if it is some sort of superpower. The movie does a good job of establishing his character. Likewise, Jon Bernthal, JK Simmons and Anna Kendrick bring their characters to life with limited screen time. But the movie feels incomplete. They spend 90 minutes setting up the character and by the time their done there's no time left for the action. And the action is fine. It's not like John Wick where it is the showpiece of the movie. But they're not headache inducing like the post Bourne shaky cams. Now that they have set up thier characters, I do look forward to the sequel. Maybe then they'll actually do something.

This is personally my favorite action movie. On my first watch, I didn't see any of the plot twists coming and felt their delivery was superb. The Accountant himself is an extremely entertaining character - his autism diagnosis makes him unique in this genre. I am very excited to watch the sequel.

Filme bom, mas o Wolff não toma um tiro sequer, não conta a história de como os dois irmãos se separaram e nem como Wolf começou a trabalhar com a outra garota. Falta final no filme, espero encontrar na parte 2
