Audience Member Jimmy Wang Yu's martial arts school is attacked by rivals and he is forced to go into hiding. Jimmy is then approached to become an assassin, which will allow him to get revenge on those who killed his master and his schoolmates. It's a pretty standard marital arts film set-up, but this film was surprisingly lacking in much action, instead focusing more on the characters and story, which sadly never seem to work in English dubbed versions of Asian films, especially when it's really bad dubbing. The film was directed by Cheh Chang ("Five Deadly Venoms," "One-Armed Swordsman"), so the action that is in the film is certainly well done and even the non-action sequences are elegantly photographed, but this film felt overlong and not a particularly compelling of story or characters (though I may have felt differently if I'd watched a subtitled version of the film).
