Pregnant mother Wanda LeFauve (Laura Dern) ekes out a government-assisted living with her jobless husband, Al (Richard Lineback), and their four children, in a rundown trailer park. In a desperate bid for money, Wanda answers a classified ad from a wealthy Hollywood woman, Rachel Luckman (Stockard Channing), and her husband, Richard (Peter Riegert), who are seeking a newborn to adopt. 12/21/2019 WOW! I haven't had my heart broken by a movie in a long time like this one. :( See more 02/20/2010 Starts and stays enjoyable until the end. The ending negates the entire movie for me.
