Rick M Heartwarming, significant, meaningful. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/17/24 Full Review Audience Member I like this movie, but its not my favorite. It almost made me cry when Julia ran away and everyone was looking for her. But a lot of the information about rabbits is completely wrong, hay doesn't give rabbits the full nutrients they need, if you pick a rabbit by their neck, it hurts them, bad, and they don't eat their poop everywhere, they do it privately, the poop doesn't even look like bunny poop. And if you see the poster it looks like this movie was going to be a CGI movie (bad word play) with a different rabbit. But, It is not, The only thing christmas about this movie was Julia found the rabbit with an injured leg on christmas eve. The movie can be very heartwarming, and the acting isn't the worst. This movie is okay. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member In a way, The Christmas Bunny was a pleasant surprise. In the midst of the Great Recession, a struggling family takes in a girl from a foster program. Julie rarely speaks, but a curious preoccupation with bunnies is apparent from her ritualistic viewing of a Velveteen Rabbit videocassette. When Julie finds a rabbit injured by a pellet gun accident on Christmas Day, she finally begins to open up. With the help of a mysterious Bunny Lady, Julie nurses 'Rumple' back to health and discovers what it really means to go home. The Christmas Bunny was an intriguing film for a number of reasons. For the majority of the first act, it couldn't decide what kind of movie it wanted to be. Julie's first few weeks with her new foster family reminds viewers of something out of a horror flick, complete with choppy camera work and creepy zooms. Then, for approximately ten minutes, it reflects its title and shows a least a little bit of holiday cheer (complete with in-law arguments and awkwardness). The movie settles into typical family fare shortly after Julie befriends Rumple, but never becomes as horrendously corny as it really could have. For that, I have to give The Christmas Bunny some credit. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is awesome. Get over it you dumb critics get a life scumbags rate a rabbit movie low you are sick. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film if you like bunnies and makes a change from CGI stuff and people being killed, it's nice family film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Not great. Good idea for a Christmas movie, bad acting. Kids thought it was neat that it takes place in Michigan. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
