Audience Member A minor league pitcher gets cut loose from the San Jose Stallions and inadvertantly finds some new purpose in life by coaching disadvantated youths in a subsidized program. Some similariites with the Bad News Bears but Ritter gradually wins you over. Of note, this one features a small role for Patrick Swayze. At least partially inspired by the Bad News Bears with the San Jose Stallions unis looking strikingly similar to the San Diego Padres of that era. Patrick Swayze has a small role as one of the Stallions players.
