bruh b @bruhthismoviesucks Dec 27 SPOILERS Where do I begin with the crucifix? why does no one in this movie? Call the cops why does the electricity only work in the daytime but in the night they need a candle to go around their house how did the main character go back in time randomly in the middle of the movie and as a granola eating pee, protein, soy carpet of a man named Fergus what kind of name is Fergus? It’s somehow gonna beat a Viking warrior in combat with a sword that he got from party city and a trashcan and shield is what it looks like at the end of the movie they decide to worship Odin even though he made them kill a random priest for no reason and the whole movie you think that this guy is gonna cheat on his wife, but it turns out the girl is his cousin and the whole thing to set up and he’s impotent. Overall, this movie is garbage. I think Moonfall might be a better movie. Garbage actually takes offense to being compared to this terrible awful movie. What kind of name is Fergus? See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 27 The Crucifix fails to deliver as a horror film, despite its intriguing premise of a demonic presence tied to a crucifix. The story struggles to engage, with weak pacing and a lack of suspense making it difficult to connect with the narrative or the characters. The screenplay is inconsistent, with flat dialogue and repetitive moments that drain any tension the film attempts to build. Acting is uneven, with some performers overacting while others appear disengaged, leaving the characters unrelatable and unconvincing. Direction and technical execution further hinder the experience, as the cinematography, editing, and sound design fail to create effective scares or atmosphere. Scenes meant to be climactic or intense feel flat and underwhelming, and the overall tone of the film lacks cohesion. While the premise had potential, The Crucifix ends up as a forgettable, shallow horror film that neither entertains nor frightens, leaving viewers disappointed and disengaged. See more Joel P Nov 2 Scottish "Exorcist" rip-off with a Norse Viking twist. The 1,000 year old skull looks like it was just purchased from a novelty shop. This is Odin's revenge on unsuspecting movie junkies who just want to watch something that is half way decent. See more Kamil K Nov 1 This is genuinely one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. It's hard to believe it had any budget at all. The sound is the biggest and most unforgivable disaster. I'm convinced that every single sound in this film was replaced in ADR. Everything is flat, lifeless, and sounds like it's just a few centimeters from your face. You can literally hear the microphone vibrating from the actors' breathing. All other sounds have the same problem - doors, footsteps, ambient noises - everything feels as if it's happening right next to your ear. There's no sense of distance or spatial audio at all. Dialogue sounds exactly the same whether the actor is standing close to the camera or several meters away. The visuals don't fare much better. There's a forced use of split-focus shots, executed so poorly that it becomes distracting. If the crew didn't have the skill to use that technique properly, they simply shouldn't have used it. There are also unnecessary close-ups on the actors' faces, often in moments that don't call for them, breaking immersion even further. The acting is not the worst part, but it still hurts the experience. It feels overly theatrical and unnatural, which completely kills any sense of realism - though to be fair, it's clear the actors were at least trying. And what makes it even more frustrating: the story itself could have been interesting, maybe even good. But it's buried under such an unbearable technical mess that you can't enjoy it for a second. All in all, this movie is a complete disaster. I couldn't bring myself to finish it, and I strongly recommend that you don't torture yourself by trying. See more Read all reviews
