A plot that doesn't hold up in a universe that doesn't make sense. I'm all for a supernatural undertone to a movie but when none of the characters have any on screen charisma and the director relies heavily on jump scares and bad lighting to cause the tension release it's just not going to work. Obfuscating the plot with whatever the second half of the movie was also didn't do the film any favors. I feel if the director had more of a budget some of the weird lighting and effects choices might have been avoided. Also just a better cast. The killer and the daughter were great but the rest had either no direction or were poorly directed.
