Here, the mist-shrouded farm and its environs are artfully photographed and framed, and the result is a film that is not only strong and uncompromising but also exceptionally beautiful. Go to Full Review

Fanny Lye Deliver’d is most definitely a slow burner, unable to conform entirely to either folk horror or historical drama: you won’t forget this film in a hurry. Go to Full Review

@Argyle 10/14/2024 What an awful film....simply awful..alleged professional critics love this tosh? Well of course they do See more Angela G 01/03/2023 Sorry I was not a fan of this movie! Yes it seemed to be well written and good acting. Although it was a story of a woman "delivered" from one psychotic religion to just another similar one. Maybe that's how it was in those days but this is not a good story with a True Deliverance See more 09/09/2021 Absolute horrid story, promotes rape and and forcible drugging. Depicts some freedom from strict religious life and replaced with the God complex Thomas who believes all of his wants are righteous and godly. When in truth he is a drunken, drugged sociopath who derives pleasure by inflicting violence on others. Quit watching during the rape scene. Good Riddance. See more david b @Dobishop 03/03/2021 One of a kind - love something completely different. Basically a 'based on true events' depiction of the early Quakers' roots. I have great respect for their ethos and I'm an atheist through and through. See more Read all reviews
