steve d The whole thing came off very cheap. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review isla s This film I didn't follow, plot wise and there was next to no tension or atmosphere. It felt like a long soap episode that never entirely got anywhere. I like Anton Yelchin and Zooey Deschanel but this is definitely not one of their better films. Dull and boring, I wouldn't recommend it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A driftless area is a watchable film with original ideas and good performances but the film tries to do too much. Tries to be a supernatural ghost story, I love story, a revenge flick, even a heist movie. Unfortunately it doesn’t do any of them very well. The pacing is off and the film is boring in parts. It’s a novel attempt but the film could’ve been better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/09/20 Full Review Audience Member Good film good story nice refreshing film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review farah r Boring and forgettable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member One of those cases that the title really says it all by how it was monotonously balanced, enforcing the utter conceptual mystery of the occurring events as the only of the two interest points next to being picked up by the climax. Elise Nakhnikian Slant Magazine A self-consciously quirky, slightly otherworldly tale whose eagerness to win audiences over with whimsy only succeeds at keeping us at arm's length. Apr 23, 2015 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation It's watchable, but...more a movie that you like and appreciate than respect or feel challenged by. Rated: 2/4 Aug 13, 2020 Full Review Mark Jackson Epoch Times Glaciers didn't go through this area, so there's no drift (silt, clay, sand, gravel, and boulders). So the area is therefore driftless. That's very interesting. To geologists. Rated: 2/5 Jun 11, 2016 Full Review Rodrigo Perez The Playlist "The Driftless Area" isn't so much bad as it is trivial and forgettable, but in a day and age of dwindling cinemagoers, and interest in adult storytelling fading from the big screen, its weary insignificance feels all the more criminal.
