      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

With a coarse and leaden script persistently at odds against the film's stellar cast, most viewers will find The Estate taxing.

Sam Shut off your brain and enjoyed the silliness. It isn't a original story but the cast brings the comedy and that's something to laugh about. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/18/22 Full Review Sharon J This movie did not connect with me or the rest of the audience. Other than 2 or 3 scenes, there were few laughs from anyone in attendance. I think there should have been more laughs because some of the situations were comical, but it just did not come across to reach the audience. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/14/22 Full Review Rick would have liked the ending to be a little more !! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/13/22 Full Review Ann D The movie was absolutely horrible and a waste of time and money. Finally got up the nerve and walked out after others did the same. When we left there were only two people left in the theater. Great talent wasted on this raunchy, tasteless movie. I'm embarrassed for these great actors. They must have all been desperate to get back out there. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/22 Full Review V.O. Too rushed, and Characters tried too hard for laughs. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/22 Full Review KL If you saw the trailer and thought This looks fun then you were probably right. Nothing hysterical but it kept me smiling. I did feel like I was waiting for the moral point to drop. I would describe it has a mellow Sunny in Philadelphia. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/08/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stephen Romei The Australian A brazenly funny adults-only movie. Rated: 3/5 Feb 4, 2023 Full Review Karl Quinn The Age (Australia) It’s a decent premise but, sadly, it amounts to less than the sum of its parts. Rated: 2.5/5 Feb 2, 2023 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) The impressive cast list notwithstanding, this is a dispiriting kind of comedy... Rated: 2/5 Jan 16, 2023 Full Review Erick Estrada Cinegarage The work of Mrs. Turner, Colette, and Farris keeps us in a good mood through a movie that doesn't have bigger ambitions than that. [Full review in Spanish] Oct 18, 2023 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Because the film is completely lacking in nuance, these themes kind of evaporate in between the gags about body parts. That said, the movie does elicit a few wry smiles along the way. Rated: 3/5 Jan 19, 2023 Full Review Nuria Vidal Cinemanía (Spain) The film completely drifts with embarrassing jokes, ridiculous situations, and an absolutely predictable outcome.
