Inkoo Kang The Hollywood Reporter I'm not sure who this remarkably tone-deaf, cynical-for-the-wrong-reasons film is supposed to be for, other than maybe college-hating gajillionaire Peter Thiel. As the kids used to say, thanks, I hate it. Jul 3, 2020 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut I hate films like The F**k-It List. It’s the equivalent of the old adage that a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its shoes on. Rated: 1.5/5 Sep 1, 2022 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall It's sharply shot and well-acted, but ultimately dodges its own point. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 10, 2020 Full Review Peter Canavese Celluloid Dreams Pays lip service to questioning the systemic fallacies of American education and capitalism but offers only the shallowest of platitudes in their place before an ending that says f**k it to the notion of a coherent message. Rated: .5/4 Jul 8, 2020 Full Review John Serba Decider I have two words for this movie, and you probably can guess what they are. Jul 2, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Tristan T Its an ok-ish movie, definitely not that bad but times I wish I could just slap every single character and give them a a wake up call, the main character is insufferable and so are his parents, most of the time I feel like him going to college was a their achievement not their son's, the only ok character was Kayla she was relatable per-say she's the only sane character, there are a lot of inconsistencies in this movie, I wound not rewatch it Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Luan T O filme é bom. Algumas partes um pouco incoerente com alguns desfechos que poderiam ser melhores. História de alguns personagens pouco abordada e por isso se tornou confuso. Entretanto o filme faz entender a mensagem principal, poderia ser melhor mas o filme é bacana. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Markus P I really enjoyed this heartfelt teen drama. Very 'Netflix' like film with great unknown actors who are believable and lovable Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review PlanetAwnsers Studios The movie was in my opinion really well thought out and had some real high school stress and moments, it has a lot of inspirational elements and themes that lots of Gen Z kids need to see. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/23 Full Review miki t Yep that was rotten. yeah, just terrible. The boy was cute but annoying everything is annoying. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The professional reviewer said it much better than I could, but this movie hits the mark so sadly shallow and tone deaf that I think most people will loathe it minus the few people who it "resonates" with will agree. The movie essentially follows a very smart Caucasian male who also happens to have tons of wealth due to his parents. I mean, that's like everyone, right? He discusses his "troubles" about all those things he never got to do in life and he's already 18. Obviously his life is almost over, so we can't help but feel bad for someone who hasn't done everything before they could even be able to rent a car. So he starts doing all the things he wanted to do on his F**k It List while spending his parents' wealth, and in doing so people follow him and give him enormous amounts of money by watching him on social media. Obviously, the moral of the story comes through in the climax of the story, in which the new adult writes to the college and says he is the voice of his generation and formal education won't do anything for him and his generation is completely unique, and that is why he declines their offer. This is great information for his generation. All they have to do is squander their parents' wealth, do whatever they want to, and rely completely on the whims of the internet viewers to receive their wealth. No need for workers, teachers, officials or other redundant people like that. Just be a unique free thinker! Surely no other generation has thought that was the key to the future. It's like so out of touch that I barely have the words. Luckily the multiple reviews from both professional and movie watchers confirms how bad I felt this travesty was. If you like to see generationally wealthy people get richer and then complain about how simple it is to succeed in life, this movie is for you.
