Young actor Karan Brar was vaulted to stardom in 2010 when he had a supporting role as Indian-American middle school student Chirag Gupta in the hit comedy feature "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." Although the American-born actor is fluent in both Punjabi and English he had to "learn" an Indian accent for the part. Brar reprised his role for the 2011 sequel "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" and the third installment in the hyper-popular franchise "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days." Brar also co-stars in the Disney Channel sitcom "Jessie" as adopted child Ravi Ross, a role tailored especially for him.
