Rock music promoter Digby (Martin Kemp) may be a show business star, but he's less than successful as an animal breeder. His efforts to find a mate for his star mare go badly, until one day he has a chance encounter with Nell (Miranda Otto), an actress who has a gift for communicating with horses. Nell agrees to help Digby figure out what's on his mare's mind, and though her roommate and best friend, Wendy (Gia Carides) cautions her to tread with care, she and Digby soon fall for each other.
