Steve D More interested in moralizing than telling a good story. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Audience Member This production was riddled with problems, yet I'm glad I took a chance on this Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner feature about compulsive gambling. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member a film all about gambling Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Pelicula de fácil visionado con una pareja protagonica en pleno esplendor de su belleza. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A great cast in a film about the gambling bug--Weisbaden Follies!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A dark, star-studded melodrama directed by Robert Siodmak that's overlong, talky, and very preachy. But with a surprisingly literate screenplay by Christopher Isherwood, it offers some fascinating character complexity that's much more than you'd expect from an old-fashioned Hollywood costume drama, helped along by Sidomak's taut direction and excellent black and white cinematography by George Folsey. Too uneven to really be a classic, but very interesting despite its flaws. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
