Kent Hill Film Threat A genre-bender you won’t be able to ignore. Rated: 7.5/10 Oct 31, 2025 Full Review Surya Komal Just for Movie Freaks While it doesn’t deliver consistent tension, The Grove is an ambitious indie effort with a compelling concept, and strong technical touches. Rated: 3/5 Oct 27, 2025 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture The Grove doesn’t have a story so much as it has an idea, and come to think of it, it doesn’t have much of an idea, either. Brad W I don’t know what to say about this other than please for the sake of everything holy use your time to do something else other than watch this trash …. I’m not a bot, I endured watching this somehow and I can pretty much officially say movie making is over … Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/25 Full Review Kirk F In total, “The Grove” legitimately presents itself like a mainstream outer shell beating with a totally indie pulse at its center, providing the bombast of Hollywood-style action while still possessing a story-guided heart that promises more is on the way. It will be a fascinating exercise in watching a filmmaker’s growth when the next installment arrives, which is also what makes giving indie film a chance so worthwhile and exciting to take in. Please see my full review of the film at: https://onefilmfan.com/indie-film-review-the-grove-drama-action-horror-and-sci-fi-merge-with-both-mainstream-and-indie-flare/ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/27/25 Full Review Chadrei H I love movies. I love everything from hallmark to b movie horror schlock to a-list big budget films. I have a pass to go see a movie a day, and frequently do, even if I’m not interested in the picture. This movie was terrible enough to make me feel like I wasted a “free” day, and even more an hour and a half of my time. The plot is trash, the effects, terrible, the directing, shotty, the acting, wooden, the lighting, non existent. This was clearly a guy with enough money to cast, direct, and write a fantasy of himself to put on a screen. Friends and family must make up the lion share of the popcornmeter because this is the worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/16/25 Full Review Sydney B For context, I went to go see the movie in theaters with my boyfriend. There were 4 people there, including us. In the first hour, one guy packed his stuff and left. 30 minutes later with no plot development, nothing scary, and straight fluff my boyfriend and I packed up and left, as we were leaving the last person in the theater said to us “I don’t blame you” . Worst 24 dollars spent ever, I have never left a movie theater but at that point doing literally anything else was better than watching this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review T M It seems this film was put together as afterthought from an actual weekend at the cabins from the “Friend who knows people in the industry”. I’ve seen many low-budget films around the world (Dr. Boonme, anyone?), with actors who have no experience that was still able to get a story across. This film was 95% fluff, 3% music promotion, 1% CGI, and 1% storyline. These other RT reviews are clearly paid for, with many having the exact same ending on their reviews (a shame for actual good films). Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/25 Full Review billy M This has got to be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Luckily we went to a place that serves food because that’s about how long we stayed to watch it (through the meal) its stars off with some vague insight of a horror film but mixes up with goofy music and random genres of mixed up soundtracks that make literally no sense. Also what the hell was the actor form Martin doing hanging out with a bunch of young no named actors looked like gramps trying to kick it with some college kids. He’s prob the only recognisable “actors” in the film cause that word and the discretion of this movie don’t really fit or go together when describing this flix! We walked out and just shook our heads. Don’t waste your time definitely pick another film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/25 Full Review Read all reviews
