Fundamentally, the issue with The Last Manhunt is that it’s not artsy enough to be much more than a basic posse movie, but it’s not exciting enough to just do that well.

Wow. Demolished a pretty interesting true story. Had more fun on the wiki page reading about it than watching this. Oh, and Mamoa ain't starring in this movie - he's an afterthought.

Jason Mimosa is NOT in this movie. That's the first thing you need to know. It's a gimmick, he had one line. Secondly, this is a VERY slow melodrama. It's all about the visuals, the cold-eyed looks, the lone coyote appearances, ect. Just wasn't a super great movie. Try "The Sisters Brothers" (2018) if you want something slightly better in this genre.
