“Whitetail” is only an occasionally funny satire. I kind of see what Hill and McBride are shooting for (no pun intended), but it’s never silly enough, never thoughtful enough, or even clever enough to land with much conviction.

This movie was GREAT. A "real" Father and Son adventure. Beautiful country - I was thinking NE Tennessee but read it was western NC - close. I believe in hunting - when it is necessary to live and survive. This movie was very realistic. The way the father and son interacted was very real - funny - not funny - and all in between. The actors were hilarious at times - the main father actor was really great - and the life events are very real. Of the very few netflix works that mention God, I really appreciated what the father said - VERY TRUE. TO ALL THE BELIEVERS! ALL THUMBS UP!
