Ola G Burdened by a tragic event, Deputy Crime Commissioner Carl Mørck (Ulrich Thomsen) takes on an abandoned criminal case. Together with his assistant Assad (Zaki) and secretary Rose (Sofie Torp), Mørck digs into the case of the accused pedophile William Stark, who has disappeared without a trace. At the same time, the police have arrested an Eastern European boy at the border with Germany who is in possession of Stark's passport... The actors we saw as Carl Mörck and Assad in the four first films about the Q-Department have been replaced. Apparently due to the wish of the author Jussi Adler-Olsen. To me, it´s not working all that well with this change, maybe due to the fact that you had grown to like Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Fares Fares playing the main characters, but also to the fact that Ulrich Thomsen just seems to be disengaged in the role walking around with the same facial expression chewing nicotine gum throughout the whole film. The film itself is just streched and boring and the thrill vibe is non existing. It´s not a fully convincing film either. The acting is a bit wobbly and the direction too. My biggest treat was to see the lovely Swedish actress Lisa Carlehed as Mona. This change with the actors was not on the positive side I am afraid to say and it´s clear that this is not only my opinion. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
