“The Match” marks a strong return for Korean cinema. Among the year’s best, its impact may stem from a development process dating back to 2021. Whether coincidence or not, it stands as a powerful, memorable work of storytelling. Go to Full Review

Derek J Jul 22 It's rare to see a movie on GO, and that was part of the appeal for me. But this movie can be enjoyed whether or not one understands the game. Classic student surpasses the master theme. Well executed, definitely worth a watch. See more Siwoo J Jun 14 영화를 위한 영화 See more Michael W @mawilps May 25 This Go movie was really good. Lee Byung-hun, Yoo Ah-in, Moon Jeong-hee, Jo Woo-jin, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this movie. This true about the Go Master Cho Hun-hyun and his student Lee Chang-ho playing each other in a fierce Go competition was dramatic and mesmerizing. It's about beating your opponent even if it's your student or teacher. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a must see. See more Tony N May 22 The movie was highly dramatic, intense and authentic. Forget the early critical critic comments. Movie watchers will love this movie. See more Young K May 20 I thought it was an incredible movie. The emotional story of the teacher vs student was more important than the Go story See more Tim R @twiddly May 8 It was ok, but I wanted more details/info/strategy on the game of Go. I do play Go and it is so popular in Asian countries, not so much in the west. See more Read all reviews
