Joel H Oct 30 I’m sure The Midnight Hour was probably a very effective horror flick if you were watching it as a child on TV in 1985. However, if the first time you’re watching it is as an adult, it’s pretty ridiculous. I was impressed by the costumes and the makeup which, I found out, was done by the same team who worked on Michael Jackson’s Thriller. But that still doesn’t make up for the clichéd story, hokey acting, and the cringe-worthy musical number. Plus, you can throw a pair of glasses on Lee Montgomery, but that still doesn’t make him a nerd. So no, it wasn’t really worth staying up for The Midnight Hour. We sat down as a family to watch and have done so each year ever since. This one is just a fun, has some cool make up designs and a solid story behind it. For me, this one is right up there with Ernest Scared Stupid, Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus and Hubie's Halloween for family time viewings. 🔪🎃Rotten Reviews Podcast🎃🔪 See more Jeepers C 10/19/2024 This movie is a great seasonal Halloween treat from my childhood. It has monsters coming back from the dead and crashing a Halloween party going on. The students must stop this mayhem, by doing a ritual before the midnight hour. If not, evil will walk the earth forever. It has alot of big star actors in it . This made for TV was well done and is now a rare, nostalgic treat every Halloween 🎃. See more Jay H 10/01/2024 Nostalgia is a powerful drug... this isn't a great movie, but I loved it when I was younger. If you're an adult and you watch it for the first time, it's probably mighty corny. See more James E 10/31/2023 Watched it when I was a kid. Now it's a tradition to watch it for Halloweenor right before. My whole family likes it. Just wish the had better release it's hard to find we have it on VHS from TV when it aired forever ago and found poor quality dvd but still worth it. It's a classic if you ask me. And one of it's kind. See more 11/04/2021 A made-for-tv Halloween movie that originally aired on November 1, 1985, this movie is cheesy and corny in a perfectly 1980s way, and is so much fun!!!!
