After a violent, racially charged incident lands John in juvenile detention, he is finally placed with an unlikely set of foster parents, Eldridge and Marianna, an interracial couple. Eldridge makes it his mission to overcome the challenges of John's white supremacist upbringing, slowly beginning to forge a relationship through his foster son's fascination with extreme sports and BMX biking. Rooted by this newfound passion, the family builds a bond of mutual respect, love and redemption.

Graham and Ludacris have good, combative chemistry: the youngster, who looks like Michael Shannon, with a face sharpened to an arrowhead; the latter soaking up confrontation with almost amused relish.

I loved this movie. Ludacris was perfect as the Dad. He just keeps getting better! The whole cast and director are all excellent. Get ready for both happy and sad.

I find it ridiculous when people cast kids who aren't kids, and don't even look like kids. There's over a billion people in America and you can't cast an actual kid for these roles?

This movie is based on the real life story of a young boy from Dundee Scotland who defied all the odds and became a BMX champion. It’s a fantastic, inspiring movie and a must see!

You won't be disappointed... Not my kind of movie but i came across it when scrolling and it was in the beginning and catched my eye! Amazing cast and acting, based on true story, and story it is amazing and very well written... Loved it

Toccante ed intimo racconto vero, senza esagerazioni e senza glorificazioni. Una "classica" storia di povertà e di sbando negli USA, con annessa redenzione che acquista valore in quanto tratta da una storia vera. Senza dubbio uno degli aspetti meglio riusciti riguarda le sequenze di bmx, tutte perfettamente eseguite e tecnicamente senza grossi difetti. Di contro invece le performance attoriali non sono di alto livello, specialmente Ludacris sbatte contro il muro di una parte che non aveva mai interpretato prima e che gli risulta molto indigesta. Tecnicamente molto buono ma con scarse interpretazioni.
