Phil Hoad Guardian Graham and Ludacris have good, combative chemistry: the youngster, who looks like Michael Shannon, with a face sharpened to an arrowhead; the latter soaking up confrontation with almost amused relish. Rated: 3/5 Apr 22, 2021 Full Review Lisa Kennedy Variety "The Ride" doesn't break new ground, but its likable cast delivers some nuanced, even touching twists. Nov 15, 2020 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media The Ride takes a bit to warm up and ends with an action sequence involving a BMX biking competition, but it's what comes in the middle of this affecting biopic that will stay with viewers. Rated: 3/5 Apr 30, 2021 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Despite having a lot of expected tropes, the cast members' performances are appealing enough to make this movie worth checking out if people are looking for an inspirational and uplifting story. Darren M This movie is based on the real life story of a young boy from Dundee Scotland who defied all the odds and became a BMX champion. It’s a fantastic, inspiring movie and a must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/24 Full Review Cristina A You won't be disappointed... Not my kind of movie but i came across it when scrolling and it was in the beginning and catched my eye! Amazing cast and acting, based on true story, and story it is amazing and very well written... Loved it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review Paul R Absolutely SUPERB Movie!! Brilliant performances form all the cast. Well written and directed also. Inspiring zero to hero True story. …. A MUST SEE 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review Andrea C Toccante ed intimo racconto vero, senza esagerazioni e senza glorificazioni. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/23 Full Review Cathy J Even though this kind of looked like a low budget film, it had me engaged, with occasional tears and I found it inspirational. Not many films are these days, sadly. My parents were foster parents for teens and it's so good to see a movie that lets us peek into the lives of some unsung heroes. "Everyone deserves a second chance" was an apt comment by the foster dad who took a chance on this troubled teen. The bicycle stunts were fun to watch too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/23 Full Review riccardo r A classic tearjerker story. Nothing more. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
