Audience Member A wonderful movie with a powerful message. It had me both laughing and crying. Being gay myself I can totally relate to it. The movie is essentially two hours of dialog so if you aren't capable of sitting through that then you will not enjoy it. I give it a rare 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member WHITE people at FREE screenings LOVE this movie! Tripp Fuller is the weak link and his loud forced delivery saps many scenes of impact or interest. Many characters think aloud, the script and direction doesn't know how to convey its message without repeating it aloud. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Especially considering the low budget, very well done. Wonderful performance from Tripp Fuller. I would have liked to see Cleo going back and having to deal with his church authorities afterwards, but perhaps that's another story. Certainly a timely message, and delivered pretty clearly in the face of certain backlash from the Christianese world. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Itï¿ 1/2(TM)s not too often that a Christian film actually engages in the medium with authenticity and realism. The Road To Edmond succeeds on these counts convincingly. The main characters Cleo and Larry weave a narrative of the tension of struggling with faith and learning how to love oneï¿ 1/2(TM)s neighbor. The unfolding of the main charactersï¿ 1/2(TM)s stories and backgrounds and how these inform their faith journeys is relatable for many, including myself. Itï¿ 1/2(TM)s a narrative of how our stages of faith are more nuanced than clear, more uncertain than sure, more beautiful and mysterious than cold and ridgid. This film is sure to encourage those who have learned to love above being dogmatic, and challenge those who are not quite there yet. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Didn't quite know what to expect, but found the movie engaging, thoughtful, and such a rarity among "Christian" movies. Most do nothing but spout trite slogans, but this one asked the tough questions, and came down on the side of love , which is what Jesus did his whole life, and what he died for. Such a refreshing change! Thank you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Iï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)m a United Methodist pastor. I love this movie. It hits me in all the right places. As a Progressive Christians, I feel strongly that we need many more movies that give a narrative alternative to the restrictive one weï¿ 1/2 1/2 1/2(TM)ve been force fed since people started confusing factuality for truth. Good job! Keep these coming. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
