Steve D They haven't figured out dialog for film yet but Astor gives it a spark. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Recommended for historical reasons and for seeing Mary Astor in one of her earliest "talkie" parts. Nothing really works here -- and this is indicative of most of the year "1930" talkies, a new medium just finding its way. By 1931, the average movie was noticeably better.
