Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller), an employee at Life magazine, spends day after monotonous day developing photos for the publication. To escape the tedium, Walter inhabits a world of exciting daydreams in which he is the undeniable hero. Walter fancies a fellow employee named Cheryl (Kristen Wiig) and would love to date her, but he feels unworthy. However, he gets a chance to have a real adventure when Life's new owners send him on a mission to obtain the perfect photo for the final print issue.

This is our favorite movie of all time. We watch it every New Year’s Eve. The soundtrack, the cast, the dialog could not be better chosen or timed. I catch something new every time we watch. We introduced this to our 11 year old granddaughter this new years and she laughed and loved it- a new fan!

This movie doesn’t keep you on the edge of your seat, but that is exactly what is wonderful about it. It has a vibe that is normal and heartfelt which really is what makes it so brilliant. Beautiful film.
