Notwithstanding the title, The Taj Story does not have much of a story to tell. What it does peddle by way of a narrative has not only been done to death over the decades but has also been debunked in several courts of the land, including the apex one.

I truly appreciate the director for addressing such a sensitive subject and for his sincere effort in portraying the truth of Indian history. He has maintained respect for both communities while presenting the core historical facts with focus and balance.

The movie was all about Paresh Rawal. Somehow a truth for history turned in the courtroom turned into into one sided drama where all opposition including prominent historians, educators were idiots. Paresh rawal was the only one who knew anything.. Claiming it's a secular film, the director deliberately turned into a Hindu Muslim drama..
