sean s I have been seeing horror movies since I was in grade, and I am an old man now. I don't know how I had never heard of this movie or why it has such low ratings. It was as good as Heredity, Midsommar and Hunter, Hunter, which were some of the better horror movies that I have seen in the last year or two. The movie contains 6 stories. The first story is interesting and deals with the dark side of Fairy and why some things are better left alone, about half the other stories deal in a very bitingly sharp way with toxic relationships, one story interestingly deals with a little girl's grasp of trying to figure out why in life, there is death, and the final story is about a woman ruthlessly living off other people's stories by killing them to eventually find freedom through being blind. Many of these stories have interesting metaphors to looking at life that might not be readily apparent at first, even knowing they are slapping you in the face with the visuals. This movie would be worth a 2nd or 3rd viewing down the road if I could take it. Ha. And, I can not say that about most movies made out there. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review martin a Some great tales of horror here a few are a bit shaky, but it is very enjoyable Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member If you ignore the few bad segments from this movie, it is extremely enjoyable. While the stories are not connected to each other and don't fit a particular theme, almost all of them have their own appeal. "The Mother of Toads", "I Love You", "Wet Dreams", and "Sweets" are all disturbing and intriguing in their own right. I wish they would have omitted "The Accident", as it did not flow well with the others and it took me out of the mood temporarily. I also enjoyed the main story of Enola at the Theatre Guignol, I wish they would make a full-length film out of that because the premise was creepy. Overall, I would recommend this despite its flaws and I enjoyed it regardless! SOMDVD Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a rather classy horror anthology featuring some fairly big names in the indie horror field both in front of and behind the camera, and I'm happy to have finally given it a spin for my Halloween 2014 viewing. Well worth tracking down. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mark Jenkins Washington Post These elements may be shocking and even bizarre. But, like a lot of midnight-movie provocations, they soon turn predictable. Rated: 1.5/4 Feb 3, 2012 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See "The Theatre Bizarre" is reminiscent of many of the horror compendiums that preceded it. An up and down and down mish mash of styles and sub genres, overall this is a fun, dark, gory, intriguing, addition to the fold. Rated: C+ Jul 19, 2020 Full Review William Bibbiani CraveOnline An impressively good hit-to-miss ratio ... Entirely worth a horror fan's time, but is probably too erratic and violent a film for the casual enthusiast. Rated: 7.5/10 Aug 22, 2012 Full Review Beth Accomando KPBS.org The Theatre Bizarre is a delicious horror buffet with some gore-geous treats and gruesome confections. Feb 21, 2012 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com As with most anthology efforts, only a few of the segments truly shine, yet the production as a whole carries itself confidently and shares a few scattered pleasures. Rated: C Feb 17, 2012 Full Review Chris Hewitt St. Paul Pioneer Press Absent anything scary or even shocking, the only question is why Enola sticks around for all six shorts. Or why the filmmakers think we would. Rated: 1/4 Feb 2, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews
