William Bibbiani TheWrap The Thicket is an awful story, in a great way. Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Rex Reed Observer Juliette Lewis steals the show in a bleak, action-heavy Western that lacks the depth to match its gritty visuals. Rated: 2/4 Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Craig D. Lindsey RogerEbert.com The unlimited amount of Sturm and Drang on display will turn away those looking for a fun, engaging shoot-’em-up. Rated: 2/4 Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue This bleak and brutal frontier thriller is downbeat and deliberately paced, bolstered by striking visuals and character-driven intrigue to offset its genre cliches and stereotypes. Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens There is a captivating brutal, visceral beauty to the Western thriller THE THICKET... an attention to visuals while balancing that with performance and story...[Juliette] Lewis is award-worthy. Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Romey Norton Film Focus Online Through the drama, grit and ruthless killings, 'The Thicket' has themes of self-identity, consequences, survival, and moving on. Over-all, 'The Thicket' is an intense modern Western drama with a stellar cast and stunning imagery. A must-watch! Rated: 4/5 Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Joseph S So fantastic. Dinklage is awesome, of course, but not even the best part. Levon Hawke is a revelation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Victor L Not sure why theres a lack of promotion for this movie. I didnt even know it was coming out. I saw it tonight and Im glad I did because its an exceptional film. The whole cast did great. Peter Dink stood out and really nailed this roll. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Gary G Interesting change of pace for the inde movie genre. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Audience Member We saw movie last night and loved it! Great plot and acting was top notch! A must see 👍👍 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Paul H Very good western, circa early 20th century. The story is tight with appropriate investment in character development. (One exception—it could be argued Jack’s development was rushed—potentially due to editing.). Beautifully shot with costumes and sets in synch with the period. Great, strong cast who made the story believable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Terry W Maybe the best Western in over a decade.
