This film was unwatchable. Nobody is remotely authentic or nuanced and the dialog is cringeworthy. Even if you're ok with this because it's a "farce", it still doesn't hold up because you can telegraphy every scene. OK, now they are going to ask his father for help, he's going to say no, then he's going to say ok but we do it my way, then queue a stupid montage. Also, the casting choices were either also terrible, or they filmed the first take each time and just called it a day.
