Bobby Dupea Starburst Not a single shock or surprise in what goes on, except in how badly it is constructed, shot and act. Jul 28, 2022 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Definitely has moments of tension, but there's also plenty of dead space littering the feature, reducing conflict and indulging oddity to a point of tiresome repetition. Rated: C+ Aug 31, 2013 Full Review Lucius Gore ESplatter A terrible movie when it came out in the '80s, "The Unseen" hasn't aged well, even in terms of camp value. RedApple A Before watching this, I had significantly lowered my expectations because the director, Danny Steinmann, also made Friday the 13th Part V, which was one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. However, I can happily say that The Unseen is better than Friday the 13th Part V. The plot is a simple adaptation of Psycho, but it lacks the kind of twist that made Psycho memorable. It’s fairly easy to predict what will happen, and the fact that the maniacal family’s surname (Keller) means “cellar” in German is a bit on-the-nose. As for the acting, Sydney Lassick’s performance as Ernst Keller was pretty good, but the rest of the cast was largery medicore. The atmosphere in the cellar scene is noteworthy and deserves praise, but overall, the film doesn’t rise above being a disturbing yet cheap version of Psycho. Still, I think it’s worth a watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/08/25 Full Review Audience Member Overall, a fair movie. Nice acting troughout the film, especially Sydney Lassick as Mr. Keller. The story is indeed rubbish but still oddly watchable. Moreover, the special effects are almost nonexistent, really wished they made an effort to make it a little more gore. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review delysid d god this is awful tedious slow moving Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/17/18 Full Review Audience Member A terrible horror film. The director took his name off. Avoid. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Another horror film in which city folk find themselves out of their element when presented with a small town and a lack of lodgings, putting them in the creepy house of one of the locals for the night and leaving us to wonder why the hell they wouldn't just leave. This was one of those Code Red DVD films that I was trying to chase down forever, so I'm happy to have finally gotten a chance to check it out. Rental! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is so cool and scary I really loved it .I can't belive you don't it. I know I looked and couldn't find it.
