Haunted by H 12/07/2024 THE VICE SQUAD is a better-than-average pre-code 1931 crime drama highlighting corrupt undercover vice detectives using underhanded methods to make arrests. The dialogue is sharp and the performances by Paul Lukas, Judith Wood, Kay Francis, Rockliffe Meadowes and Esther Hoffman are solid. Look for a svelte Juliette Compton to get the plot moving.
