Audience Member A very unique, though equally silly, musical, starring incredibly talented James Cagney. He had wonderful rapport both with Virginia Mayo (whom he worked with on White Heat) and the relative showbiz newcomer Doris Day. Pedestrianly directed, it would have fallen flat in a lesser cast's hands, but is raised by the charm, charisma and talent involved to a fine level.
