Madcap and heartfelt, Edgar Wright's apocalypse comedy The World's End benefits from the typically hilarious Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, with a plethora of supporting players.

Either I've been slowly losing my sense of humour over the years - nope, just checked my pockets; still there - or these films been operating to the law of diminishing returns. Go to Full Review

Where Shaun Of The Dead was inspired, this is comfortingly repetitive. But hey, isn't that the main attraction of any pub? Go to Full Review

It is a more mature piece of work, which seems a peculiar way to label a zippy comedy about drinking beer and outrunning the apocalypse. Go to Full Review

All of the performances are fantastic. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who have carried this trilogy, are incredible and they know how to play off each other. Go to Full Review

Like what Wright, Pegg, and Frost did for horror and action, this third entry into the Cornetto Trilogy similarly lampooned while also paying tribute to the sci-fi genre, while also delivering plenty of heart. Go to Full Review

[The movie takes] an exhausted genre and suffusing it with energy, wit, and technical bravado, but perhaps most importantly, three-dimensional characters whose serious interpersonal relationships extend the cultish material beyond its usual limitations. Go to Full Review

Thomas W @Misterw18005 2d Admittedly, it was outright weird to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost switch their signature screen personas around in this film, but they did so with groundbreaking skill! The action scenes were choreographed so well, the cameramen might have been involved in the fights themselves, the quip about one of the characters getting a hard-on in his youth was hilarious and the special effects were excellent! While I assume it wasn't intended by Pegg and Edgar Wright to make the ending a cliffhanger, it could certainly step up to the challenge if necessary. The only bad thing? Nick Frost's performance as Andy Knightly literally scared me and his berserker scenes had me cowering behind my pillow! Worth a watch. Saw it on Amazon Prime. See more Cristian s Nov 3 Peliculón. See more D C Oct 3 I rate Hot Fuzz as one of my favourite films of all time. It’s so easy to put on and watch over and over again. Shaun of the dead I like less but it’s still well made. The 3rd and final film, worlds end, is a terrible unwatchable mess! The story is weak and lame and it just isn’t funny… See more Kyle B. @OpenStargate Jul 19 Simon pegg is the best! Really funny movie. See more CaptainBoulder T Jul 17 Good movie but I would've preferred if they kept the movie as a bunch of mates getting drinks See more Read all reviews
