Clyde Gilmour Maclean's Magazine The subtle ironies wrapped up in the true meanings of human courage and cowardice are examined, sometimes a bit too wordily, in a strong action drama starring Gary Cooper. Oct 31, 2019 Full Review Isabel Quigly The Spectator Realism seems to go a step farther than it need, and show the average man as rather lower than is credible; and it is long and improbable, though never dull. Jul 12, 2018 Full Review Steve Crum Video-Reviewmaster.com So-so Gary Cooper quasi-western; very talky, very lumbering. Georgan G Cooper, Rita & Tab made it possible for me to sit through this. Western on the cusp of a thinking, feeling human who isn't sure what bravery means. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Martin B It's too late for me but save yourself and skip this one. Great cast and probably good acting but painful to watch. An exercise in the difference in how people act under severe stress but three quarters of the movie as barren as the landscape. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/03/22 Full Review lanfranco c What is the courage? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review ashley h They Came to Cordura is a disappointing film. It is about an army major, guilty of cowardice, is asked to recommended soldiers for the Congressional Medal of Honor during the Mexican Border Incursion of 1916. Gary Cooper and Rita Hayworth give terrible performance. The screenplay is badly written. Robert Rossen did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Solid Western. Cooper's last. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Not much action, it's a bit wordy. That would be fine but the words aren't that interesting either. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
