Empire Magazine Rated: 2/5 Sep 23, 2006 Full Review Daisy Leigh-Phippard Screen Queens Rewatching The Thief Lord as an adult maybe reveals how its dated since its 2005 release, but the same heartfelt magic of the story rings true, and I cant help but appreciate its message even more. Feb 21, 2022 Full Review Joe Utichi FilmFocus Rated: 2/5 Sep 23, 2006 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall The kind of entertainingly gonzo storyline that completely disarms us, simply because anything could happen. Rated: 3/5 Sep 23, 2006 Full Review John J. Puccio Movie Metropolis ...too simplistic, too episodic, and too disjointed for this adult to enjoy, but...kids will probably like its intrigue and most of its generally sweet nature. Audience Member Fantastic plotline and a family favorite in my house. It's a fun little adventure with loveable characters and a certain kind of unique charm that isn't found in other movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite some simplistic dialogue and episodic pacing, The Thief Lord's surprisingly complex plot, decent acting and lovely scenery make this understandably underseen film a suitably magical experience for the kids and, if they're in a jolly mood, the parents too. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't wait to see this movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a great movie, I liked it. Highly recommended! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe the book was better than this movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review don s Aimed at a younger audience, instead of finding this whimsical and heart-warming, I found it to be slow-paced, shallow and boring. The adults are made out as buffoons, the kids are not cuddly or even likable, and the story is a misch masch of confusing elements in an overly simplistic wrapper. I can't see kids liking this much either. I understand the books are quite good though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
