Some of Ms. Schaeffer's plot twists are easy to guess, but everyone's enjoyable to watch. Go to Full Review

TiMER never rises above the level of a sitcom. All that's missing is the laugh track. Go to Full Review
Stephen Garrett Time Out 05/12/2010

The lukewarm female talk occasionally grates and the men are portrayed as mind-numbingly simplistic, but on the whole this cyber-Cupid exercise is surprisingly affecting. Go to Full Review
Marya E. Gates Cool People Have Feelings, Too. (Substack) Feb 14
Essentially the film critiques both U.S. post-puberty dating rituals, the rise of iPhone popularity, the ridiculousness of looking for love via online dating sites and apps, and our inability to do anything anymore without a money-back guarantee. Go to Full Review

Timer's premise is fresh, making this earnest romcom a delightful watch. Go to Full Review

A romantic comedy (with a dash of science fiction) that will certainly appeal to single women, the film is very original in concept, if not so much in execution. Go to Full Review

Stephanie B 4d The story concept is great but Oona and Mike have no chemistry. Disappointed in the ending I was hoping for something better. See more Cork B Nov 16 Very engaging film, and I think the actors did a decent job. Two major issues. One, the timer bands seemed almost tangential to the plot to add maybe some urgency? I guess? But they really had almost no relevance to what is basically a romance film, not a sci fi flick. Two, I don't know what point they were trying to make with the ending. There really wasn't one, other than maybe 'trust the timer, the timer is destiny'? I thought they would go with human agency, but nope, I was wrong. Real wrong. See more Mark S Jul 23 The ending. Ugh. This gets two stars for being an enjoyable movie for 3/4 of it's running time. The ending literally undoes and ruins everything that comes before it. Wow. See more José G B Jul 2 I still don't know what the point of the movie was. Very deflating "so what?" ending. See more Sofia E May 23 Love this movie, it's so thought-provoking, a great type of science fiction that's a tiny bit futuristic but really "The present + 5 minutes." The premise of this movie stuck with me a really long time. See more Jill C @Jillaginn Mar 10 As other reviewers have said, the ending made me feel confused and I wondered why I watched all that and it ended so abruptly and opposite to the message of the rest of the film. The timer is an interesting concept, and the actors do a decent job. See more Read all reviews
