William D There's a lot of sex, or more accurately, a lot of sexual situations. Still, the film manages to be boring somehow. There are some half hearted attempts to depict the sex as some kind of allegory for modern Japan, but the connection is never explored. Miho Nikaido did give a give a good performance though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Very good, but at times confronting viewing. For the first half it just seemed to be a lot of detailed sex scenes (though not overly graphic apart from female nudity). I was a bit worried the whole thing would be like that with no real point to the movie. Thankfully there is a moral to the story, and that's not overly pleasant viewing either, but it is thought provoking. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Prostitution...S&M...hot skinny women...mistresses...Say no more! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member One of hard core Japanese films. A brutal story about the life of a prostitute in Tokyo. A must see to believe. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not sure what to make of this. The sex is quite erotic, but the rest of the movie is all over the place. the ending is very good, but one wonders, why make an exploitive film about exploitation? 3 stars for the hell of it, but it probably isn't worth that many. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member well, that was something. This movie is almost like a horror film. There's some really creepy stuff in it. The visual style is great.
