      Audience Member 150530: As a huge western fan, this is not a bad movie. I saw an dubbed English version of which some aspects I really enjoyed. For example, some of the action scenes that were fun indeed. The mine chase comes to mind. Further, the film is packed with fun and interesting characters and it was great to see Lucky Luke outside of the cartoon books I remember. There were also some aspects of this film I could've done without; the scene where the Indians create visions for the settlers would be an example. I just didn't like the mix of live photos and animation. The sound was a little inconsistent but I'm thinking this was the result of the dubbing process. Do the French have a slightly different sense of humour? There were a few short choppy scenes that I can only assume were attempts at comedy but I just didn't appreciate them. With all that, I'd like to see some more of these Lucky Luke films, done to more modern standards. Perhaps one of the big animation companies could see fit? Of course, as stated earlier, I'm a huge western fan and I don't think old Luke was as popular outside of the French culture. You must rewatch it to see all the fine little animation details. All jokes work and don't feel forced or misplaced. Only critic is, that the story feels just like a structure to let the characters jump into crazy situations and you saw it already in other Luke cartoons. When you expect something deep or smart, then you will be dissapointed. But the animation funny enough to crarry this film.
