Audience Member A story based on true events, so sad knowing that this can happen to young innocent girls. Parts of the movie were a little difficult to see as too dark, but otherwise it was upsetting to realise that trafficking is real. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/29/24 Full Review Danielle B This was honestly one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. The acting (aside from Cain and Swanson), we're brutal to watch. And who ever wrote the screenplay should go back to waiterong. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/13/22 Full Review Audience Member Probably the worst movie I've ever seen! Other than Dean Cain acting the rest of the acting was atrocious. Poor camera work random weird music in scenes please don't waste your time! The plot doesn't even work a 15 year old girl gets kidnapped and within a week she is willing to go be an escort Jesus christ 🙄 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A difficult movie to watch, but it effectively shows the horrors of trafficking that happen all around us. (First and only viewing - 5/20/2020) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Way better than expected. Would definitely recommend. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Previous reviews are frankly, elitist and ignorant. This is not the only movie about this problem, and it's in no way "eroticized". Frankly, if that was your takeaway, your mind is in the trash. This movie wonderfully tackles a huge problem in our world today and remains free of any sexual exploitation itself during the production. All acts are implied, but decency prevailed and witnessing of the sexual acts are absent from this film. I don't know what others were looking for from this movie which relays true events, I'm sure, with creative license. The point was infotainment, not entertainment and if you watch with that expectation you leave with more than you asked for. Robert Abele Los Angeles Times What's cringe-worthy about "Trafficked," directed by Will Wallace, is how unnecessarily eroticized it is, like something from the made-for-video bin in a '90s-era Blockbuster. Oct 12, 2017 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Unfortunately, for all its social relevance and good intentions, Trafficked mainly proves that university professors don't make the best screenwriters. Oct 6, 2017 Full Review Serena Donadoni Village Voice Trafficked ... manages to illustrate the sexual, physical and mental abuse that human traffickers inflict on victims to make them feel less than human. Oct 4, 2017 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed It's a rough watch in parts as things are shown and suggested that should shock and appall everyone. It's a powerful film and should be seen. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 14, 2020 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Tackling a serious subject but looking like a bad after-school special, this drama is terribly forced and indelicate; it tries to deliver an important message but feels more like a cheap thriller. Rated: 1/5 Oct 13, 2017 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International The kind of movie that preaches to the converted, and as such it's hard to figure out how much good it's doing.
