Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times In the absence of any subtlety, Jaglom's protracted discourse on intolerance and compassion begins losing dramatic steam long before it reaches its intended destination. May 3, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Rich A Set in 1928 Poland. Why the holocaust? Why did Poland have most of the Nazi death camps? This movie is about that. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Randy M What a perfect representation of generic anti semitism, especially in Poland! It's so true…. It's in their DNA. Many of them today have never met or seen a Jewish person… and still, they hate. You had another reviewer, likely another hater, who gave this movie a terrible review. Yes… the world is full of haters. Jealous, envious, mean spirited haters. Meanwhile, we go on… and on, forever…happily, and always hopefully. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved this film!!! I'm mostly into WWII films and books so I started this thinking it was going to go into the war. I loved the way it started with the son interviewing the dad and how he popped in his feelings about the situation but not so much that you were going back and forth but I was wondering how he really felt if this was real and a couple minutes later part of the interview is played and it helped me sink back in. It felt like a old movie with better picture and sound quality. There isn't action but there are surprises you aren't expecting at all. It's one of those stories that if someone were to tell you, you would stop and wonder for a minute if they were serious. It's really good you have to finish it. The girl in it was silly giggly and it drove me a little crazy but in real life people do drive others crazy. I do wonder now if she was really like that. In the beginning I wondered something and in the end it was confirmed but through most of the film he really made me believe I had guessed wrong.
