I was expecting it to be a purely kid's movie, but it was actually great for this G-1 fan who watched the animated movie as a kid in 1984. The beginning is fine and entertaining as it builds momentum, but just wait until you see Star Scream, Sound Wave, and Shock Wave! From that point until the end is AWESOME!

A fantastic retelling of the origins of my favorite villains and heroes with a surprisingly relatable story. I found myself torn over with protagonist I wanted to root for near the end! The jokes werent over-the-top while the action was extremely satisfying to watch unfold. The battle scenes were imaginative and the animators did a fantastic job showing just what transforming robots could do in combat. It may be too late as of this review but if youre a Transformers fan, do yourself a service and catch this in theaters (if you can) or on streaming/physical, you wont be disappointed!
